What I would have written the day I met my husband

When I first came in, we immediately connected, yet for some reason, it took me almost two years and two failed cheats to realize that he deserved a real relationship. It did not take long before I fell in love with him and realized that I had lost my time with someone else.

Now we come to our first birthday and wait for our first baby, and even if things were not perfect or always comfortable, I would not change anything for the world. Every day, I find another reason to love him more.

Here is my letter to myself, what I would have said the day I met my husband:

Younger, crazier,

Bride him as soon as you can.

Marry him because he makes you laugh even when you’re supposed to be mad at him.

Marry him because he begins sentences with “I was talking to the cat …” because even if he does not like your cat so much, he always talks to him and will never make fun of you for the conversations you have with him him.

Marry her because when you learn that you are pregnant, even if you do not plan to have children so soon, he will be just as excited as you are.

Marry him because he will continue to ask you what’s wrong, even if you do not want to say it.

Marry him because even if he thinks you’re angry for no reason, he’ll come looking for why you’re upset and will not mind.

Marry him because he randomly speaks words while reading or working.

Bride him because he is ready to help his family all day, even if he has his own plans.

Bride him because he will look at you with wonder when you will get bigger and bigger during pregnancy, even if you feel fat.

Marry him, for even in your darkest moments he will always love you.

Marry him because when you are too sick to take your sick cat to the vet, he will do it without hesitation.

Bride it because, even though he always learned that cooking and cleaning were women’s jobs, he’s happy to do both for you.

Marry him because he will always remind you that he loves you before going to work.

Marry him because he will work hard to make sure you have what you need.

Marry him because you know he will never leave you.

Bride him because he is emotionally stable and yet sensitive enough to cry when he has been hurt.

Marry him because even during your worst fights, you will not regret having married him for a moment.

Regards,

Your future very lucky and happy

It has been quite a trip with my husband, and I am so excited to see what the future holds as we walk hand in hand on this path called life. I do not doubt that, whatever the life that awaits us, we will be able to strengthen ourselves together and fall more deeply in love.
