The study is part of the question “What is the correct dosage? After observing numerous specific studies around the world describing the benefits of psilocybin, and also many testimonials of “Bad Trips”. This study concerns the specific dosage that creates a lasting transformation of the spiritual and positive consciousness in the user!
During the psylocybin study in magic mushrooms, participants were asked to keep their eyes blindfolded, to wear a helmet and to relax as much as possible. Nobody knew the dosage he received.
The highest doses were found to have the most positive effects and 78% of all participants reported experiencing one of the most spiritual experiences they have ever had in their lives. – despite reports that anxiety, fear, and stress increased six-fold during the ingestion period.
Dosages were then decreased from 20mg to 5. At this level, only 1 volunteer reported having some kind of negative experience, and ALL the other volunteers reported positive experiences. Even at the lowest level, it still had remarkable, lasting effects – so the family and friends of the participants noticed positive changes in their personality.
“It would appear that we have found levels of the substance and particular conditions for its use that give a high probability of a deep and beneficial experience, a relatively low probability of psychological struggle, and a low risk of real harm” Roland Griffiths , PhD.
14 months after this study, 94% of study participants still claim that this has been one of the most spiritual experiences of their lives.
Personally, I am delighted that Johns Hopkins University continues to research the potential of psilocybin! There are so many things we do not know about reality, and apparently these magical hallucinogens are known to help quit smoking, heal the body, and transcend time and space itself.
