This man announces to his sick friend that he is going to give him a kidney

The video of these two friends has become viral in recent days. Graham discovered that he was compatible with his friend Danny who was affected by an illness and so decided to surprise his friend by donating one of his kidneys

This is the kind of story that can weld a friendship for very long years. Danny Kolzow is a 23-year-old nurse who lives in Texas, USA. Affected by Alport Syndrome, he lost all kidney function in just two years and needs a new kidney to live on. His friend, Graham McMillan, 24, then decided to do some exams and discovered that he was compatible with him.

Graham wanted to immortalize the moment of the announcement by filming it. Filmed by a camera, he went to Danny’s workplace at the Baylor All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth with a sign “Heard Urine Need of a Kidney, Want Mine?” (“I learned that you needed a kidney, you want mine?”). The video, viewed more than 800,000 times was quick to go around the internet.

Moved and speechless, Danny burst into tears and struggled to stand up straight and it was in the arms of his friend that he expressed all his emotion. The two friends were hospitalized on Wednesday, July 27th. Everything went well, the hospital reported on Facebook. A nurse told The Dallas Morning News that the young man did not think he needed a kidney so early in his life.

Danny told the local press that receiving his friend’s kidney was something “unbelievable”, he already plans to run a half-marathon next year. Graham, meanwhile, said that this gift was “something normal that he was happy to do. And that could only strengthen their friendship.
