Hikers Cynthia Bennett and her partner adopted their dog Henry in 2014. At first, Cyntia wanted to pick a Golden Retriever cross, but she came across Henry at an adoption event. He was only fourteen weeks old, but he was already 5 times taller than other puppies of the same age. When she entered Henry’s box, he just rested on his lap and turned his head over his arm. It was there that she knew it was the right one.
“I think we only got it for three days before taking him on our first hike,” Bennett told The Dodo. “He found the steepest rock, the highest, and he ran to the top to look overboard.” That’s why they started calling him their “little mountain goat”.
Some time ago, the couple decided they would like to have another mate. Cynthia wanted a shelter kitten, and after five months of searching the shelters, they finally found a Siamese kitten cross named Baloo. They introduced the kitten to their dog and Baloo fell in love with Henry; all he wanted was to play and snuggle against him.
After that some time passed, then Baloo began making his first trips. “People are asking me a lot of questions about how we’ve used it. But he really loves it. He really wants to go out, “said Bennett. “If I touch Henry’s leash, Baloo will start meowing at the door.”
