Poland: they have created backlit bike lanes that recharge with the sun: no need for streetlights, a great ecological breakthrough!

Using a bicycle is certainly one of the most “eco-friendly” means of transportation. And this is even more true if we imagine bike paths that no longer need electricity to be illuminated.

In the north of Poland, near the town of Lidzbark Warmiński, a new generation of cycle track has just been created. Its spectacular-looking coating has the incredible ability to recharge energy with sunlight, before restoring it at dusk. No more energy-consuming street lights that consume too much and ruin the natural beauty of landscapes.
