Now INRA is convinced: Permaculture is profitable!

Permaculture is about making organic products first and foremost respecting the environment by using nature rather than chemicals. Said like that, it’s easy, but in reality, does it work, and can one make a living? INRA answers that YES, it is based on 4 years of observation, kidney that that, of the farm of Bec-Hellouin, in Normandy.

It is between 2011 and 2015, that the scientists studied a small plot of only 1000m2: 421m2 of greenhouses, 233m2 of vegetable garden orchard and a mandala garden spirals of more than 378m2 one is very far from the gigantic agricultural explorations.

However, at the end of this study, the National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) says that this small acreage allowed to generate a net income per month of between 900 and 1570 €!

You think it’s not a lot, though

“This farm income appears very acceptable, or even more, compared to the references currently accepted in diversified organic market gardening. “

Even if INSEE’s agricultural income indicators, published on July 5, 2016, confirm an increase in farm income in 2015 by asset. It goes from 8.8% to 5% per asset.

To better seize this good news and go further, watch this video produced by INRA in person:

It is therefore possible to make a living without polluting or depleting the earth’s resources. And if there are still people who do not believe in permaculture, show them this story.
