The Dutch photographer, Roeselien Raimond, captures the beauty and joy of nature, especially through her fantastic pictures of red foxes. After photographing these charming creatures since 2010, Raimond is now an expert to immortalize them during their most adorable moments. His most recent images capture a series of red foxes enjoying the winter snow. “I’ve been lucky enough to photograph foxes in a snowstorm for years,” says Raimond. “Foxes have fascinated me for as long as I can remember,” she said in an interview.
Over the years, she realized that there were not two identical foxes and that they all had their own personality. His photos show how each animal faces winter conditions. As Raimond says, “No matter how cold it is, what a snowfall there is, they sit down, smile and just proudly suffer their fate, waiting for the heat and the sun to come back …” Raimond hopes his photos of foxes will change the negative perception of many people about the animal. “I’d like to show them foxes as we see them through my eyes; not like unscrupulous chicken killers and sneaky thieves, “she says. “If my photos can make a person understand that an animal is not a coat to wear, not an object to lock in a cage, or something that is cut inconsiderately slices to eat … [my] mission would be accomplished. “
