It is our experiences in life that make us the people we are. If you have a strong personality, it is probably because you have had to face a number of hardships in life and you have learned to overcome them.
It’s not a bad thing to be part of these people, even though you may feel like you’ve done something wrong when you see how others react around you. Your career may have had some failures, and your relationships may have been strained, but your way of thinking differently is not reprehensible, it just irritates some people who do not go in the same direction.
You have probably noticed that people are careful when you approach them, or when they see you, they quickly say hello and leave you abruptly. The sad thing is that some people do not even realize that they stand out in this way. Most of these people have a big heart and are very nice, but their strong personality makes them seem aggressive or even rude.
It can be difficult to define a person as “intimidating” because it means something different for everyone. However, there are some traits and features that seem to be quite common.
Here are the 6 signs that indicate that your personality intimidates others:
1. YOU DO NOT TOLERATE THE EXCUSES OF OTHERS
If someone tries to whine and complain to a person with a strong personality, without trying to solve their problems, they will find themselves alone. Strong personalities do not bend to velletic individuals.
2.YOU CREATE OPPORTUNITIES
One of the advantages when you have an open mind is that you see opportunities where others see closed doors. Anything can happen with the right mentality.
This trait can help you survive (and thrive) when times are tough, even if it can cause jealousy and animosity.
3. YOU ARE CONCENTRATING SOLUTIONS, NOT PROBLEMS.
People who have a strong personality are known to get things done. They keep their noses on the handlebars and work tirelessly to achieve their goals. When a problem arises, they focus on solving the problem.
4. YOU DO NOT TOLERATE VOLUNTARY IGNORANCE.
To be honest, either it triggers anger inside you (which you can not keep for yourself), or it makes you want to walk away without saying a word. This may be because people with a stronger will are also very educated.
Having done all they could to understand as many people as possible (which requires an open-mindedness), when they see someone who is intentionally ignorant or judgmental, they simply can not handle it, and it will not be tolerated.
5. SMALL CONVERSATIONS ARE ENOUUYEUSES.
The intellectually stimulating conversations are always welcome, while the mundane topics of the weather and what celebrity is getting married, can frustrate you and annoy you.
And yes, those with strong personalities are apt to tell others exactly what they think. Especially when they focus on an important task and someone interrupts them with an irrelevant discussion. They do not have the patience or the time for insignificant details.
6. YOU SAY WHAT YOU THINK.
If you have a strong personality, then you are one of the few people to really say what you mean, and what you say. You never wanted to break a promise, or lie to a friend (even if you knew the truth would hurt), and people respect you for your honesty. But at the moment they may not have appreciated even if you have been honest.
Do you find yourself in this description or someone you know?
Remember, people who have a strong personality are not rude, and they do not try to dominate anything or anyone.
