Many people like to sleep in their pajamas. Pajamas are the different pieces of clothing we wear when we go to bed, and they can range from oversized nightgowns that cover your knees to silk nighties.

But have you ever thought about dropping your pajamas for Adam’s outfit?

You will probably sleep better

If you did not know, most humans sleep better when they are in a cool environment.

As you can imagine, adding extra layers of clothing and then slipping under a duvet or sheets will only make you warmer. When we are warmer than we should, the body has trouble recognizing that it is time to sleep.

Your body breathes

For many developed societies, wearing clothes that cover most of our bodies has become a norm.

Depending on where we live, it is rare that we spend a day without putting on clothes. The constant wearing of clothing prevents our body from breathing properly.

When women sleep in underwear, it can trap bacteria and yeasts. Sleeping with nothing helps prevent yeast infections, while leaving your body in its natural state.

While it is generally accepted that intimacy and physical contact can have dramatic improvements in your mental and emotional health, it turns out that sleeping naked as well.

When we sleep naked next to our partner, skin-to-skin contact reduces stress. This also reduces blood pressure, and increases the level of happiness.

You will strengthen links with your partner

A survey of 1,000 British married people, conducted in 2014, found that people who slept naked were generally happier than those who did not.

About 57 percent of those who slept naked said they were satisfied with their relationship, compared to only 48 percent of people who slept in their pajamas.

This can promote weight loss

When we do not sleep well, we increase the amount of stress hormones in the body, and eventually we eat more unhealthy foods that are bad for us.

Poor sleep disrupts the body’s natural chemistry, which can lead to an imbalance between growth hormone and stress hormone.
